We're Having a...

Yesterday morning, I awoke at the crack of dawn, anxious to head to the clinic for my anatomy ultrasound. Since the beginning of February, I’ve been so excited to find out the gender of our baby that it felt as if the days were dragging their heels. But finally, the day came, and now we know.


That, my friends, is our baby boy!

I was only 9 weeks along at my last ultrasound (at which time he was a tiny little peanut), so his transformation was quite astounding to see. Watching him wiggle around on the screen - while feeling the flutters in my belly at the same time - made him all the more real to me. I'm already head over heels for this little guy! The ultrasound technician did a thorough examination of his body, and to our delight, everything looked normal and healthy. He currently weighs 12 ounces, and his little heart is beating 136 times per minute.
